Cellar Door

Our Cellar Door is located in the heritage listed Dysart House, just 45 minutes north of Hobart on the Midlands Highway. Visitors can join us for a tasting of products, take a behind the scenes tour of our distillery, or simply enjoy morning tea or lunch as you take in the house and grounds and discover why we love distilling in this beautiful part of the world.

Cellar Door hours - 10am to 4pm daily

Our Cellar Door/Café is closed on the following days:

  • Anzac Day (until 12.30pm)

Old Kempton is proud to be Tasmania's artisan distillery, embracing time-honoured, hands-on methods. It's the same care and tradition we pour into every meal we prepare for you in our café.

At the heart of Old Kempton is a warm, welcoming spirit. We want you to feel truly at home and relaxed enough to create lasting memories with family and friends.

Our café menu invites guests to be part of its artisan journey, where you can select from a variety of homemade dishes, as well as crafting a personalised platter from locally sourced, Tasmanian produce. Menus are updated seasonally.
